He started his career as a teacher trainer and educational researcher in 1984, the period of computer literacy. He has gradually extended this professional activity from the scientific sector to the teaching-learning methods.
He has participated and also coordinated much educational research that he has presented at numerous conferences and, in particular, at CIEAEM (International Commission for the Study and Improvement of Mathematics Teaching).
He wrote, together with other authors, the book: Zero e senso comune (Zero and common sense) a survey on the temporariness of disciplinary learning.
He attended the second and third IBHA conference. In the 2016 Conference he presented a paper “The first pilot experiment of Big History in an Italian classroom”
