Meeting at Medicina Radio Astronomical Station

On 15th July an Italian Bighistorian group had a meeting in Medicina near Bologna kindly hosted by the  Visitor Centre “Marcello Ceccarelli” http://www.centrovisite.ira.inaf.it/index-en.html.

We discussed the  Evo-SETI theory  presented by Giulio Maccone and the first italian book on Big History “Storia dell’Universo dalle origini” presented by the author Giovanni Abrami.

We also enjoyed a special visit to the Medicina Radio Astronomical Station http://www.med.ira.inaf.it/

Adalberto Codetta Raiteri graduated in Physics in 1972 and taught Mathematics, Physics and Computer in secondary schools until 2006, since then until 2013 he was a headmaster. He started his career as a teacher trainer and educational researcher in 1984, the period of computer literacy. He has gradually extended this professional activity from the scientific sector to the teaching-learning methods. He has participated and also coordinated much educational research that he has presented at numerous conferences and, in particular, at CIEAEM (International Commission for the Study and Improvement of Mathematics Teaching). He wrote, together with other authors, the book: Zero e senso comune (Zero and common sense) a survey on the temporariness of disciplinary learning. He attended the second and third IBHA conference. In the last one he presented a paper "The first pilot experiment of Big History in an Italian classroom"
